The Incident Command System (ICS) is the national standard to manage emergency incidents and critical events, and is a key component of NIMS. This course expands upon the information covered in ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses and is for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System. The course will satisfy state training requirements for incident responders and will fulfill the prerequisite for attendance in higher-level ICS courses (ICS 400). As part of NIMS compliance requirements, Delaware requires all personnel that are likely to assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents or Type 3 (or higher) incidents attend this level course.
The primary audience is response personnel, regardless of discipline, who may be required to fill a supervisor, director, chief, or command role within the Incident Command System during larger incidents. These groups include first responders, state/local government and agencies, and emergency management personnel.
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF COMPLETION FOR EACH PREREQUISITE BY SENDING COPIES OF COMPLETION CERTIFICATES TO TRAINING.DEMA@DELAWARE.GOV TO BE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND THE COURSE.
