SUMMARY:AWR 328: All Hazards Preparedness for Animals in Disaster
DESCRIPTION:Listen\n        \n         \nAWR 328 will introduce participants to the unique issues that must be considered and addressed when animals are involved in an emergency such as safe animal handling\, animal evacuation\, animal sheltering\, humane euthanasia and carcass disposal\, inclusion of animal management into existing ICS structures\, federal support available during recovery\, and unique considerations for conducting jurisdictional assessments and mapping evacuation routes. \nThis course is intended for personnel involved in livestock production\, emergency managers\, veterinarians\, extension agents\, veterinary technicians\, rural community leadership\, public and human health personnel\, fire and law enforcement. \nAll training and course materials are provided at no cost to participants or their agencies. Travel\, accommodations\, and meals are the responsibility of the attendee. \nParticipants must register through the Delaware Learning Center (DLC) Link opens in new tab. \nTo attend the course\, participants must submit prerequisite completion certificates to training.dema@delaware.gov.
