DESCRIPTION:Listen\n        \n         \nThis condensed course provides and introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Management System (ICS). Participants will learn the basic structure and principles of ICS and how NIMS guides incident coordination across agencies. \nUpon successful completion\, you will be able to: \n\nDescribe key NIMS concepts and the purpose of ICS.\nIdentify basic ICS roles and management characteristics.\nRecognize how ICS\, EOCs\, JIS\, and MAC Groups work together during incidents.\n\nThe intended audience(s) are personnel involved with emergency planning\, response\, or recovery efforts. All training and course materials are provided at no cost to participants or their agencies. Travel\, accommodations\, and meals are the responsibility of the attendee. \nParticipants must register through the Delaware Learning Center (DLC).

The course builds on ICS 100 by reviewing core ICS principles\, leadership roles\, and organizational structure\, and explains how ICS operates within NIMS to support effective\, coordinated incident management. \nUpon successful completion\, you will be able to: \n\nIdentify key ICS roles\, organizational components\, and management\ncharacteristics\nExplain delegation of authority\, management by objectives\, and command\ntransitions\nApply ICS principles to manage incidents\, briefings\, and operations\n\nThis course is intended for supervisory-level personnel involved in emergency planning\, response\, or recovery across all disciplines\, including fire\, law enforcement\, EMS\, public works\, healthcare\, education\, and other government or partner agencies. \nAll training and course materials are provided at no cost to participants or their agencies. Travel\, accommodations\, and meals are the responsibility of the attendee. \nParticipants must register through the Delaware Learning Center (DLC). \nTo attend the course\, participants must submit prerequisite completion certificates to training.dema@delaware.gov.
